After a day sightseeing I was refreshed and ready to get back on the water
but the wind had changed to a Northerly direction making it onshore.
Kanaha seemed the better choice as it's a longer beach than Sprecks.
Headed out on the 5.4 and Thommen combination toward the Lowers reef. As I
got to the last line they were breaking pretty big and I got some big jumps
but they were very much into wind. Got a few good poundings and found out
how shallow the reef is opposite kite beach (about 6 inces!!).
Only a few out as these conditions are considered bad by Hawaiian
standards, but perfect by our standards. Last day but we've managed to
squeeze a 2 hour window in before we hand the gear back to fly home.
